I read the original census and bingo there is a child named Virgil, James (Jimmy), Emma and Alice was born 19 Nov 1850 after this census was taken. I believe this is Alice's family. I am wondering if Aisley could be a pet name for Alice, and her name could have been Emma Alice WHITTINGTON?? I believe the William C. would be William Chapman OLIVER and one of the girls was Josephine like Frances Josephine (Josey). James Knox Polk SHELTON md. Sarah Alice OLIVER 5 Jan 1875 in Ellis Co. TX. Alice was b. in GA Children: James Virgil, Lillie, Minnie, William C and Archie. (James KP's granddaughter told me Alice had siblings named: Rebecca, Josie, Jimmy. With the name similarities it seems to fit.) If there are any Oliver's or Whittington's researching the line of William C. Oliver please contact me. Would the person on the list who sent me information on this census whose husband wrote the book KETCHES OF THE OLIVERS. please contact me. Since I feel certain this is the family I would like to know if there is any further information on this family in the book. Much appreciation to the list~~Dee Colvin in N. E. Texas . William C.
