We have a John William Whittington in our family tree and I would like to know if he is the same as your's. According to my information, our's was born in 1843 in Louisiana but it seems that some of his children were born in Mississippi. There is a Lottie Whittington and a Bennye May Whittington who were born in Mississippi but I'm not sure if they are his children or grandchildren. They are all buried in the Western Heights Cemetery in West Dallas, Texas (by the way it is the same cemetery where Clyde Barrow (of "Bonnie and Clyde)is buried.
