Look for your grandfather on ancestry.com. He is now posted there. I don't have anything on your grandmother except they were married in Arkansas. Your grandfather had 2 brothers. The two older Whittington brothers married women from Arkansas; the youngest, my father, married a Texas woman. They are all listed on ancestry.com. Just type in his name.

Does anyone have information on Doctor Ruffin and his wife, Lougenia Mary Williams. The only information I have on him is his birthdate. I have two Williams lines and wonder if they might connect. I have in my possession a picture of my Lundsford/Williams family and I am sure my grandmother's (Sarah Ellen Whittington Clay Leach) brother, John Russel Whittington (b 6/1878, d 9/22/1952) is in this group picture. Hello Again, In my initial posting I stated that the family of George & Caroline consisted of seven children, when in fact there were ten.From one to ten they were- George Henry Thomas (my grandfather),Emma Louisa,Helena Alexandra,Alfred,Elizabeth,Albert,Cecil,Frances,Alice Maud Mary,and Frederick. I am not sure this order is correct as the 1861 Census has Elizabeth's age as three, and the 1881 Census as eleven , so something is wrong. Also the 1861 says she was born in Surrey, and the 1881 says Bristol. I know they were all Christened in Bristol at Holy Trinity, but am only sure of my grandfather's birth place as I have his Birth Certificate.
