Hi Lee Ann, I don't know a whole lot about Ora but here is what I can tell you from the markings on the headstones. Ora M. Whittington : b Feb 09,1900 d May 19,1917 buried in Palestine Cemetary in Russellville,Oklahoma. Russellville is not really a town it only has about 15 or 20 people that live there from what I am told. I liked to have never found that cemetary. The cemetary is near Quinton, Okla. maybee about 6 miles from Quinton. Ora was born to Hosea S Pollard: b 1860 in Alabama d 1934 in Quinton ,Okla. and Sarah Jane Phillips Pollard b 1868 Married:July 03,1887 in Yell County, Arkansas d 1937 and all three are buried in Palestine cemetary. Grace Whittington Carter died on July 22, 2001. She was the last living daughter of Hickman and Bedia Charity Whittington. Her remains are going to be brought to Greenland Cemetery in Michigan City, IN, according to her wishes. Grace was 97 years old. We will miss her very much.

Do you know of a Virginia Whittington that married a Henry Brown and Had 3 children Harry Milton Brown, Fanny, Lottie and William? Harry is my Great Grandfather born in Maryland in 1872. I can not find anything on them. Any help you could give I would really love... Dayna

I just saw my grandmothers' name and now I know Elizabeth Penny and Mordella was my grandfather. Just came back from Oakdale Cemetary (LOUISIANA) last month. Found names ::::: Mother: Eola B. I have some information that also might help someone out if so please contact me and tell me how as I am also looking too. I have all kinds of pictures dated back to 1942 of some of the whitington clans, I do believe most are from Illinois but you never can tell. Here is a list of some people that I am related to: My Father, Kenneth Eugene Whitington and his sister Cheryl Whitington. My Grandfather Charles L. Whitington died in 1955 age 28 (vet. of WWII), married my grandmother Wilma Hoaks Whitington Killion. Charles L. Whitington was the son of Charles & Daisy Caster Whitington and had 7 brothers, Russell, Larry, Gary, Perry, Ronald, Daniel and James Whitington all from Alvin, IL. He also had a step sister Barbara Collins and John Roy Collins. Grandparents were John Whitington of Danville. I have found pictures of other relations such as Vicki Jean Whitington (born 10-20-55), barbara Jo Whitington, Gary and Terry Whitington which I think were twins. My great Grandfather and Grandmothers names were Charles Edward Whitington and Ella Rosetta Collins. Charles parents were John Sherman Whitington and Lela Pearl Mourer. Ella Rosetta Collins parents were clarence Merle Collins and Lena Mae Schoff.
