It's the same Garner Whittington - his father was married twice. Garner was born May 7, 1899 and married Mamie Jordan sometime around 1921. They had at least 4 children.

Whittington migrated to MO from Bedford Co. VA, along with his older brother, James L. Whittington, about 1841. He was single at the time. He apparently married Mary in MO since records state she was born there and they had at least six or seven children while living in MO. This family is in the Whittington book I have just completed and sent to the publisher.

The information I have is showing Alice and Alfred having the last name of Jordon and being Mamie's parents not Garners. Now my info could be wrong. I have Garner's brothers and sisters being Edward, Charles, Ellen and Belle. And Mamie's brother's and sisters being Bruce, Ed, Arnie,Nora and Edna. Is this close to any info you might have? Thanks

Looking for individuals related to Benjamin Whittington Born circa 1775 in Maryland moved to Bartholomew County, IN. died between 1837-1850. I am particularly interested in those descendants from Indiana. Benjamin had the following children:Thomas Azariah, Joseph, Mary Elizabeth, John Wesley, William R., Benjamin R., Henry and Francis L). I have alot of facts, but am interested in some of the more personal notes and maybe nail down his date of death. Some of his older sons moved to Franklin County, Illinois. I descend from his son Joseph Whittington (circa 1795) who married Elizabeth Dillon or Whaley. His son Willis Whittington (circa 1822) married Judith Beatty. His son James Beatty (circa 1846)Whittington was married to Evaline McCollum. His son John Frederick (circa 1880) married Zora Hicks (my grandparents). Thanks George -- for keeping me straight, Hoping to connect, Tina D

After Della he married someone else, but I have to find out what her name was (I have a picture of he and Nora when young, as well as Della and in later years- third wife). Bud helped raise my grandfather, Homer Leo Tate, Nora's son from a previous relationship with John Lively of WV (and later-Gridley, CA). I would like to know if anyone could tell me more about Bud and possibly Homer or Leo as he went by his middle name. Leo married Inez Thompson and later Rose Mae Jackson. Any help would be appreciated! Michelle [email protected]
