Additional research yields the following: B.C. Whitney and his wife maintained homes in Detroit and New York, New York. He had servants, chauffeur, cook and all the trappings of great wealth. He is listed in 1910 and 1920 as a owner of theaters. No children listed. Bertram was born in Jan. 1870 and was the son of a pioneer Michigan family. His line is as follows: B.C. Whitney(Clark,William,Joshua,Joshua,Joshua,Richard,Richard,John). No additional data was found. What was his fate? Any heirs left from this line? James E. There seems to be no certainty about her. Pierce thought she was actually named Kettle but he could be wrong. At ancestry.com, many people seem to think she was a Kendall and thereby trace her ancestry back to 1355. But was she a Kendall or a Kedall? Anyone have any solid information? (Some of those who have linked her to the Kendalls also think that she had half siblings born in Cambridge, Mass.--instead of the more likely Cambridge, England--between 1600-1623, when there was no Cambridge, Mass.!)
