Dear Listers, This past Memorial Day weekend while showing a cousin the area in which her father grew up, we stopped at an antique mall that had a reasonably good restaurant. Afterwards, we all browsed among the antiques and I happened upon a group of photographs matted and framed together. The caption was Campbell School of Prosthetic Procedure, Kansas City, MO. There were 7 men, the last being EDWARD OTIS WHITNEY. I could hardly believe my eyes! A search on the web shows the following Edward Otis Whitney: 8927. EDWARD OTIS WHITNEY (Otis, Otis, Nathan, Jonathan, Jonathan, Jonathan, Benjamin, John),b. Quasqueton, Ia., May 29, 1860; m. at Columbus, Kas., July 3, 1889, Laura M. NORRIS, b. Aug. 17, 1869; d. Oct. 1, 1894. Res. Oswego. I don't know if this is the same Whitney or not....I have no Edward Otis Whitney in my tree (so far as I know now)...but thought it might be of interest of someone on the list. If that should be the case I would be most happy to return to the mall, which is just about 30 minutes from my home, and acquire it for him/her. Best regards, Carol Simmons
