I have become curious about Mary Kedall, the wife of Thomas Whitney (son of THE John Whitney). There seems to be no certainty about her. Pierce thought she was actually named Kettle but he could be wrong. At ancestry.com, many people seem to think she was a Kendall and thereby trace her ancestry back to 1355. But was she a Kendall or a Kedall? Anyone have any solid information? (Some of those who have linked her to the Kendalls also think that she had half siblings born in Cambridge, Mass.--instead of the more likely Cambridge, England--between 1600-1623, when there was no Cambridge, Mass.!)
