On page 116, Capt Joshua Whitney is listed in the Albany County Militia (9th reg), under Colonel Peter Van Ness. The only other Joshua is in a Dutchess County Militia. On page 231, Albany County Militia (Land Bounty Rights)(9th reg) is William Whitney. The names on this list don't seem to match up with the one on page 116, including the officers. Now in NY in the Rev-Supplement book, Joshua (no William at all in the index) is listed as a Land Bouty Rights assignee, on page 207, as an assignor on page 211and with "class rights" on page 214.
