At first I couldn't identify John and Eliza (-----) WHITNEY who lived in Newcastle (which I think must be meant), NB, in 1861. It seems that the daughter Rachel had a first marriage not included in the records posted there, which say that she married Harry BROWN. Indeed, I found in the International Genealogical Index (IGI) their marriage: Harry G. BROWN and Rachel BRITTON married 26 DEC 1889, extracted from the Index to Marriages, Early to 1900, New Hampshire. The town of marriage is not given in the IGI.
