Dear WRG: I just got the paragraph below from a correspondant from another list. Can anyone help identify these people? >The only information I have about Josiah Guillow's wife Maria Phylinda Whitney is >from the Gilsum history which notes (p. 318) that she was born at Acworth, New >Hampshire 5 February 1822, daughter of Leonard and Phylinda Blood Whitney. The 1830 NH Census (& 1837 state census) shows a Leonard in Acworth in Sullivan County. He is also there in 1840, and there is one in the town of Langdon in Sullivan County in 1850. However, the search engine for the WRG website doesn't turn up any Phylinda Blood, so I wonder if he is even in the J&E line?

Leonard-6 WHITNEY was son of Joseph-5 and Mary (WOODS) WHITNEY [Joseph-4, Joseph-3, Jonathan-2, John-1]. He and Philanda BLOOD were married 8 Aug 1820 in Acworth, Sullivan Co., NH, and he died 26 Jul 1886 in Langdon, NH. All of this is according to Pierce and the LDS International Genealogical Index.
