Dear WRG, I have found a clue to the identity of Arabella -----, wife of Jason-4 WHITNEY [Richard-3, Richard-2, John-1] of Stow and Grafton, MA. No reference I have seen supplies her maiden name. A search of published Massachusetts vital records for women with her unusual first name turned up just one likely candidate: BOWKER, Arabelah, dau. of Edman and Sarah, born 6 Mar 1701[/2], Sudbury, Middlesex Co., MA Reference: _Vital Records of Sudbury, Massachusetts, to the Year 1850_ (1903), page 20. I suggest that Arabella BOWKER may be Arabella (-----) WHITNEY, wife of Jason-4 WHITNEY. Perhaps with this clue, someone may find proof, or at least supporting circumstantial evidence.
