I find him with his wife and child from 1900 (he is still in NY and single in the 1900 census living by himself) through 1930 census in PA, but cannot find him in the earlier census 1850 through 1880 You wrote that he was born 1882, but in my estimation, he would not have been alive for the earlier censuses.
