Hello list. I am looking for the parents of Willard Moore Whitney, b. 23 Sep 1822-1946 in NY. He married Hester Lucretia Kress (1883-1966) from Pen Argyl, Northampton, PA and they moved to Philadelphia, PA . I have checked the census and found him in Troy Ward 2, Rensselaer, NY in the 1900 census. He was manager/owner of the Whitney Coal Mining Co. in Philadelphia, PA according to his WW1 draft registration card. I've also checked the Whitney site and haven't found him there. I have seen many Willard Whitneys at Ancestry.com, but all have a different middle initial and different birth dates. I have descendant information to share. Thank you in advance for any response.
