I've "rescued" an old autograph album which appears to have belonged to Nora WHITNEY of Triangle, New York. The album was a gift to her from her father for Christmas 1882. R. & Martha WHITNEY. A. R. is noted as age 33, born in NY, a Sawmill Worker whose parents were also born in NY, his wife Martha age 33, born in NY, son Irwin age 13, and daughter Nora age 9, both children born in NY. Family: * Uncle Abz & Aunt Frank, Strousburgh, Polk Co., NE * Ervie WHITNEY, Triangle, NY, 14 Jan 1883 "Brother" 1870 census of Triangle, NY includes Erwin WHITNEY age 4, living with parents Martha & Adelbert WHITNEY. Adelbert is age 23, a Farmer, born in NY, his wife Martha is age 23 as well, also born in NY. Erwin B. WHITNEY is later found living with his own family in the 1900 census of Barker, NY. Erwin is listed as age 33, b. July 1866, married 15 years, a School worker, his wife Buella M. age 36, b. Oct 1863, married 15 years with 3 children, all living, their children, Harold A. age 11, b. Sept 1888, Rose A. age 9, b. July 1890, and Dexter A. age 6, b. 1894. Also living with them is Erwin's Aunt, Francis A. WHITNEY, age 54, b. Nov 1844, a widow with 4 children.
