Dear Janice: Thank you very much for the information about an Isaac Taylor being included in the list of prisoners. I guess either of the ones I mentioned could be the one on the list, born in 1761 and 1764. Robert Ward has evidence that suggests that the one that married Elizabeth Whitney was the son of Abel, thus born in 1864. Logically, he would seem to have been less likely than the one born in 1761 to have been taken prisoner as a member of the Continental forces, although not impossible by any means. Thanks for the information, nonetheless. I can see if there is any way to check on whether or not the Isaac born 1861 in Westford served and was taken.
