    3. Bonnie, Elizabeth J. Whitney is the first person listed on page 186. She is part of the last household on page 185 which is fairly hard to read: James Ste----- age 63, Farmer Affrich " age 64 Charles " 36 Mary A. " 31 Hester " 6 mo James Van Dusen 21 Laborer Hope these names are meaningful to you. I'll look at the 1840 now. 3. Bonnie, The 1840 is tallied by ages of males and females in household: There is only one Whitney in Stamford: Zachariah. Household lists l male at least 15 but under 20 1 male at least 70 but under 80 1 female at least 30 but under 40 1 female at least 70 but under 80 I rechecked the 1850 to see if there was anything I overlooked. Elizabeth's birthplace was given as Conn. on the original page although it is transcribed as NY. Carol ----- Original Message ----- From: "Carol M. 3. Carol, Thank you so much. I don't know of any connection with James and Affrich Ste--- I wonder if she was working for them. What do you mean by she was born in Conn but transcribed as NY? I was always under the impression she was born in Del Co. NY I'll have to start looking for her in Conn. You wrote There is only one Whitney in Stamford: Zachariah. >Household lists l male at least 15 but under 20 > 1 male at least 70 but under 80 > 1 female at least 30 but under 40 > 1 female at least 70 but under 80 > Do you mean that the above people were in his household? Thank you again. I do appreciate your help. Bonnie ----- Original Message ----- From: "Carol M.
