Tim, Betsy and others. I can help with one of these. Caledonia Station (Michigan) is an early name for what is now simply Caledonia. It is located in the southeast part of Kent County, about 25 miles from Grand Rapids. It was the residence of my last ancestor with the Whitney surname, i.e., Alice Whitney Betzner, my grandmother -- my "Nana" who lived with my parents and cared for me as a child. Her husband died in 1926, and when the depression came along, his provision for his widow and child became insufficient. She was always in the household from my earliest memories. She and her husband, Allan Bowman Betzner, and my mother and father, Doris Betzner Green and Ernest Goodwin Green are all buried there in the Caledonia town cemetery. Somewhere, somehow, all of these places will probably be identified by various members of the WRG. As they are, many warm family stories like mine will enrich our collective knowledge of the Whitneys. How fortunate! Allan E.
