Karl, I read you accounts on the web about the Whitney Arms Company. I have a Rolling Block that one gun expert said was made or assembled from used parts by Whitney. With no marks they said it was not Remmington. It was originally issued to a national guard serviceman in Boston Mass. in 1892 and was handed down through the family.
