COLOMA, IL is in Whiteside County, Illinois...and lies a little south of the Sterling & Rock Falls area. These two towns are often mistaken for each other and often transcription errors due to handwriting between the 'M' and 'N'. I grew up in Carroll County IL, about smack dab in the middle of these two places....and know that there were Whitney's of my branches in both areas. Lori Callaway
