Doug - It is quite possible that Whitney parts were used in manufacturing other guns. The Whitney Arms Company was sold to the Winchester Arms Company in 1888. Winchester may have used some of the parts still in the Whitney stock to manufacture other guns. However, I believe most of the Whitney stock was destroyed in order to prevent it from falling into the hands of competitors.
