He was a proprietor of Stow, 1681 and prob. moved there when it was a part of or belonged to Concord. His children were all (at least eight) born in Watertown. 1. Sarah Whitney b. Mar 17, 1652-3. 2. Moses Whitney b. Aug 1, 1655; m. at Stow, Sept 30, 1686, Sarah Knight. 3. Johanah Whitney b. Jan 16, 1656-7. 4. Deborah Whitney b. Oct 12, 1658. 5. Rebecca Whitney b. Dec 15, 1659; died the next February. 6. Richard Whitney b. Jan 13, 1660-1; of Stow. His Will dated Dec 22, 1723, mentions son Richard (executor), son Jonathan (executor), son Joshua; daughters Hannah Farr, Elizabeth Wetherby, Sarah, Ruhamah and Hepzibah. 7. Elisha Whitney b. Aug 26, 1662. 8. Ebenezer Whitney b. June 30, 1672.
