(Ann - AEG) Whitney of Weston, aged 22, born in Newton, daughter of Jona [Jonathan - AEG] & Abigail Whitney of Watertown. [This record was a return of Joseph Field, D.D., who performed the marriage] In the Lincoln Vital Records there appears the following birth on p. 35. Mary Ellen, d. Robert, farmer, (b. Weston) and Susan (b. Newton), July 11, 1849. This would suggest that the census taker put her age as being in her second year, rather than having passed her first birthday as we consider it today.
