I have circumstantial evidence that Hannah Judson Whitney (1782-1861, #1980 in Pierce) And Samuel Chard (who Pierce said was in the war of 1812) were the parents of my GGGrandfather Gilbert Chard. I know that Hannah was born in Newtown, Connecticut and is buried in Mount Repose Cemetery, Haverstraw, New York. I know nothing about Samuel Chard beyond the mention in Pierce. I am hoping to find records of any children or, at least, a clue to where they were married and lived so I know where to search for records. Regards, Bob
