Dear WRG - If we do decide on the Massachusetts idea, there are a couple of other flight alternatives. Hanscom Air Force Base is now doing some shuttles from the Jersey area. Hanscom is in Lexington and it would be a way to avoid Logan. I don't know how the rates compare to Logan flights. There is also an airport in Southern NH... I can't remember exactly where, but can look it up if people are interested. Also, if we do Mass., we'd probably want to go a little outside the inner parts of Middlesex county as that houses Cambridge and other areas of great interest, keeping the hotel rates pretty high. When and if the time comes, I would be willing to research the rates/accommodations/transport in different towns around here. My last thought is it would be nice to do it on a 3-day weekend, giving those who work some additional time.
