I spent Thanksgiving at my sisters house. She lives about two minutes from Peabody center. Hanscom Air force base is about three exits from her house. On the way home, and she has lived there quite awhile, I missed the turn. I ended up going through Watertown and other area towns. I said to Amanda, we are going to take our time on the way home and just check out all the historic things we see. Next we were in Quincy. Then Weston. Then Wellsley. It was different and very nice. I had not been this way for quite awhile. MIGRATION.Next stop, Natick.Framingham. Sherborn. Holliston, Hopkinton, Milford, and at last Hopedale. Hopedale was land aquired from Milford and Mendon. It was started by a man named Adin Ballou. He was trying to make a Utopian society. It failed. A Mr. Draper bought the town.He built a very large foundry. He made jobs for all the surrounding towns. This town was successful because of this.It is a campus town. The next town over is Milford. They just built six econo hotels in the same location. It is centrally located as a suburb. If you stay in the Framingham, Sherborn, Natick area, the rates will be higher. The New Egland Patriots(football) are located in Foxboro. This is why Miford has a lot of hotels. All of this is located off of Route 495. My sisters class reunion just stayed in these rooms. She said they were very reasonable. If you stay in the city. The rates will be higher. The pace is faster. If someone really knows the area, it is not too bad drving in from Logan. Greene Airport in Rhode Island is easy access. As is Worcester. Milford and Marlborough both has places for speakers and banquets alike. We all probably have something for input. Organizing is probably going to be the hardest part. Maureen
