Hi John, I am still working on my line. You have to understand. There is no one in my family that can help me with the information I have. Anyone I could have asked has already passed on. There was such large families and people kept marrying back in. I can tell you I descend through The Whitneys from Shrewsbury, Westboro and Upton, MA. One of my aunts was Ruth Whitney from Westboro Ma. I had two aunts with the last name Bemis. One of my aunts was Esther Whitney. Also, the family by the name of Straights. They are from Upton, Ma. I do not know if I am related to them. I think they are somehow related to the Whitneys. I am still working on this surname plus others in my family that were also related to this line. I have an aunt that was Lillian Wilder, she was married to a Hopkins. I am also related to Clifton Temple, his mother was a Pratt,he was born in Westboro, or Hopkinton Ma. He was first married to Annie Clark,then to my aunt that was an Allen. There were so many that kept marrying back in that it is taking me a while to put everyone in. I was also told that one of my grandfathers had a very large farm at one time. I was told that his parents were killed in some kind of accident. I was told that one of the Whitneys went and helped at the farm. I still do not know anything about this and do not know how to research it to see if it is a fact. So as you can see, I have a long way to go before I can put names and dates so everyone can see.
