My gggrandmother was Helen Maria Whitney; married a Hickcox. Names in the line are: Ordway, Emery, Murdock, McNaughton, Cunningham, Winter - lived in Amesbury,MA; Vermont, NH, NY, OH, WI, MO, PA. The Hickcox-Cunningham part was St. Louis then Cairo, IL. My mom's father and mother (Everett Hickcox and Margaret Ruth Winter) were born in Cairo and moved to Nashville, TN in 1926. My name is Margaret Shaffer Ernst and am in NJ now after being born and raised - lived most of my life in Nashville. Would really like to certify Whitney connection for DAR purposes and for travelling to England to visit ancestors' parish. Thank you for any help you can put out there.
