Hello Kate, This very well could be my Ephraim, and I would be interested. The reason I am searching is that I was at the National Archives yesterday looking through some Whitney Civil War pension records. I had one for Ephraim pulled, thinking he was one of my Ephraims from Washington Co., Maine. Well. it turned out he was from Washington Co., but not in my database. The only thing I can think of is that he is a descendant of the Ephraim who married Polly Crocker in Machias. Or, maybe not. Anyway, I might be able to help someone with the info from the pension file. Or, they may be able to help me place him in the family. Anyway, the info you have may be helpful, and I would appreciate having it. Would you be interested in that information since from your data Ephraim should be 9 as of June 1, 1850.
