    3. Hi Carolyn, Just read your message re FORD line in Maine. I have a Cadwallider FORD, b.c.1703; d. 1790, Wilmington,MA. The following information is from an article written by Janet Ireland Delorey in "The Maine Seine", Aug 1988: Chadwaliter/Cadwallader Ford held a positon of prominence with Clark & Lake Co....he was involved with a territorial dispute between Kennebec Co & Clark & Lake Co., which extended from mouth of Kennebec River up to Cobboseconte Falls in the Province of Maine...as outlined in "The Kennebeck Proprietors" (Gorden E.Kershaw , Portland, Maine 1975, p.154 ff.) (Cadwallider's daughter Hannah FORD, mar.my gr- gr-gr-grandf.Job FOSTER who was from Andover, MA.) Other children of Cadwallider as listed in "The Maine Seine" by Janet Delorey: Dea.Samuel Ford Sarah, b. 1731, mar. James Gray of Bideford Also mentioned - Dea.Samuel FORD & his bro. Francis & sister Elizabeth who mar. Rev. Josiah Winship as his 2nd wife - all were early settlers of Georgetown and Woolwich. I have a Winship line that connects to my WHITNEY line, too.
