Hi, I am new to this list. I am looking for Charles Whitney, born about 1847 in NEW YORK, and his parents. He married Sara Hulburt about 1872 probably in Pennsylvania. Two children, William Henry Whitney, b. 13 Mar 1873, PA, Mary Whitney, b. 1879, PA. Believe Charles was married once before, had a daughter. In the 1880 census for Union/Tioga PA, Sara and children are living with Sara's parents, Jonathan and Clarretta Hulburt. Any suggestions about how I would find out if Charles Whitney died? Or possibly left the family?
