Dear Whitney researchers, Although I've known that I have some Whitney ancestors for some time, I'm just now beginning to research them. My question is this: I have a Jonathan WHITNEY, whom I show to be a son of John & Elinor ______. Is this a different son than John, or is he the same person? My line then goes: Jonathan (same one as above) b ca 1632 @ Islworth-on-Thames, Eng., d 1701/2 @ Sherborn, Middlesex Co., MA.; marr Lydia JONES, d/o Lewis & Anne (Stone) JONES. Their dau, Lydia WHITNEY, b 1657 @ Watertown, Middlesex Co., MA, d 1724 @ Sherborn, MA; marr Moses ADAMS, s/o Henry & Elizabeth (Paine) ADAMS. At this point, that's all that I have on the Whitneys. Can anyone tell me if this much is correct? I have not yet gone to the Whitney sites that you've posted; intended to tonight, but wound up having to spend a good part of the evening in the basement, as there were several tornadoes spotted in the area, and a fair amount of damage done.
