Bruce, the translation I forwarded is in dispute. John Whitney of Oxford states the motto translates to "Boldly Uphold the Cross" and that "Crucem" is the correct spelling. Other WRG members have "Gallantly Uphold the Cross" as the translation. I copied exactly the text at the beginning of my copy of a family document that my parents had by the 1930s or 1940s. Merry
