I am still looking for any information on John Whitney, born in 1784 in MA. I believe it is my John Whitney that shows up on the 1810 and 1820 census for Broome Co., NY. His son Truman was born in Lisle, Broome Co., NY in 1818. He was married to Polly Gibbs. Polly died in 1952 in Waukesha, WI, John moved to Coles Co., IL, where he died in 1871. He is buried in Bethel Cemetery in Coles Co., IL. John and Polly Whitney had three other children that I know of, Melinda, Elijah and Chauncey. Does anyone know where else I can look to find the parents of John Whitney?
