WRG: Sorry, but it just won't go away. I have found in my database another candidate for the Thomas Whitney who married Thankful Blethen. He would be Thomas, son of Abraham Whitney and Apphia Coombs, His lineage would be John1, Benjamin2, John3, Benjamin4, Abraham5, Thomas6. This Thomas was born in Lisbon, Maine 23 January 1794. The confounding factor is that somewhere, a source stated that he married Susan Cowing, no further info. So, did Clara Marble pick the wrong Thomas Whitney as the husband of Thankful Blethen, because both Thomases are descendants of Benjamin and Mercy Hinkley Whitney?
