Dear Mert: This is the horse farm owned for many years by Cornelius Vanderbilt (Sonny) Whitney, who has been dead for about 15 years, I think. His widow Mary Lou, as far as I know, still owns it. It was an outstanding horsebreeding farm for many years. If you wanted to look him up, use his initials C. V. Whitney. I think he descended from the Saratoga (NY) Whitneys -- the same overall family from which came Joan Payson Whitney, (former?) owner of the New York Mets. There is someone else in the WRG that knows a lot more about this branch. I answered simply because I lived in KY for 38 years and used to read about C. V. in the Lexington Herald. Allan E. Green
