Hello all, I live in Saratoga Springs, NY and I have a little info to share on C V (Sonny) and MaryLou Whitney. I believe C V died in 1992 or 3. About 4 or 5 years after his death our city named a short stretch of highway after him. "The Cornelius Vanderbilt Whitney Memorial Highway" A few years after he passed Mary Lou Sold the property they had in the Adirondacks to the state of NY I believe. She Still owns the property in Saratoga which is located on Rt .50 and I believe the farm is called "Cady Hill." Every year for as long as I can remember the Whitneys have came to Saratoga every summer for Racing season and just before the Travers Stakes they have a huge Ball "Satin and Silks and Stars." Mary Lou has remarried and she and her new husband still come every year and stay at Cady Hill. And The Ball still goes on!
