I have information, source unknown, that indicates he made a pension application for service in the War of 1812, USS Schooner Tompkins. His name is found in "Ohio Soldiers in the War of 1812" - Schrum, page 65. [Probably as a pensioner]. I do find that an Ann E. (almost matches his second wife, Anna E.) in "Index to Ohio Pensioners of 1883", W. Louis Phillips, C.G., and she was 3349 on the list and from Washington Co., Ohio. Note he was still living at this time and died in Washington _?_. This man was living within 14 miles of my Milton Whitney, who is my stone wall but I do not connect. Ben
