Does anyone remember a reference concerning Lydia Curit Whitney, wife of Samuel (Benjamin, John,Benjamin, John) riding through the Maine woods by horseback to deliver flax or wool? This would have been circa 1790-1810 or so. from, Carolyn Whitney Branagan
