My gr-gr-grandfather William Henry (WH) WHITE was the son of Samuel WHITE and Mary Angelina WOODING. Mary and Samuel were married June 30, 1842 in Morgan County, GA. William Henry was born in Putnam County, Georgia on June 10,1845 and died of tuberculosis on August 27, 1908 in Atlanta. Mary was one of at least two daughters of Alford WOODING who is in the 1850 census for the Atlanta district of DeKalb County, GA Locating Alford in the 1850 census, I discovered Mary WHITE and I think 3 sons (George,Charles,and William ) living with her, in her father's home. I don't know whether Samuel is deceased or absent, but he is not in this household. Although I hope I can learn a little more about the family, at least there are now gaping holes in a previously cemented brick wall!
