He was born 27 June 1743 in Albemarle Co VA and died 6 Feb 1833 in Elbert Co GA. My DAR records say he served from VA, the Continental Line, Spotsylvania Co VA. However, another record (a newspaper article) says he went to GA before the war and served from there. I have not seen his official record. He married Mildred Thornton Ballenger, daughter of Joseph Ballenger and Sarah Franklin. Married in Albemarle Co 29 May 1775. I am descended from their daughter, Sarah Franklin White who married John Morris, in Georgia in 1793. I can't put my hands on my DAR application right now, but most of the other records cited above are from Jeremiah White's 'diary/daybook' and from John Martin White's Bible record. > > Jean >
