I am looking for family of my earliest proven ancestor, William White, born 10 Jan 1755 at Fauquier Co VA per his RW pension record S 1735VA. Of course it was actually still Prince William Co VA until 1759 but surely he knew that but did not want to rock the boat getting his pension. I am sure he had a first wife and children from Fauquier Co VA and that unknown to me wife must have died in NC ca 1812 and he remarried a younger woman- Elizabeth ___. They had four children together who were all still considered minors when William White died at age 78 in Lincoln Co TN where he moved abt 1818. By Elizabeth __ the children were; Martha b 1814, James Franklin b 1816, Carr Bailey b 1818 and last child, William Clark was born 1820 in Lincoln Co TN. At age 58 years , he had married Elizabeth ____ born 1775 NC and had their first child together in ole Rowan Co NC on Reedy Creek near the Moravian line. In his pension application he stated that after Rev War he relocated to Rowan Co NC and lived there for abt 30 years. One of his sons, Carr Bailey White, had stated in his obit that he was born at Stokes Co NC. Rowan Co separated into many counties as in its original size it covered most of western NC. William White bought land his land on Reedy Creek in upper center of NC in 1800 from Isaac White of Wilkes Co NC, no relationship mentioned. Wilkes Co was also part of ole Rowan Co NC. The only sibling I have proof of is a John White, brother, who was also in Rev War and stationed at Alexandria VA during war. William stopped to visit him when his own tour was finished and found John too ill to continue and sent John home to get well. John caught up and resumed his place on the march to Williamsburg, VA. I would appreciate any info that might even be close as I am at the ' brick wall' and have been for many years. Ginny Keefer
