My White family moved west from ILL in 1847. The Rev Asa White spread the Methodist Gospel on the Oregon Trail to Oregon City,OR, then to San Francisco, CA in 49, Arcata, Humboldt Co, CA in 50, St.Helena, Napa Co, CA in 53 and a lot of other places in between. Wife Catherine, son, daughters and son-inlaws all came along. Cliff Citrus Heights CA
My White is one of my biggest brick walls. Sarah Sally White married Elder John Parker and left Ga for IL late 1700's. she died in IL but her family (the Parkers) continued on to Tx. One son Daniel Parker brought the first protestant church into the spanish territory of Tx (Tx was not a state at the time) and one of the grandchildren Sarah Sally White was the mother of Cynthia Ann Parker the child that was stolen at age 9 by a band of raiding indians who also killed her father, grandfather, and uncle. Cynthia became the mother of the last Comanche chief Quanaha Parker. Sarah Sally White's father is Judge Benjamin White of Va and there I am in dead water. Can't find any trace of him. Oh BTW she had a sister that also married the bro of Elder John -Daniel is his name I believe. If anyone connects with this line I would appreciate any help I can get TIA Glitz
