Winette, My ggrandfather, James White, b. 1816 in Sampson County, N. C., moved to Thomas County, Ga., near Coolidge. He m. Elizabeth (Betsy) Lanier. His father, Mattnew White, also Sampson County, m. Priscilla Ward. James White moved to Ga. after his fathers death, broght his mother, Priscilla, to Ga. with him. She died a year or so after having moved.
