Historical Encyclopedia of Illinois Lorenzo H White was fortunate enough before the war to have entered eighty acres just west of Burr Oak Grove under the graduation act, for which he paid but a few cents an acre. Mr. White occupied this land until 1866, when he removed to a farm in Stanton Township. He is still a resident of Stanton.
