Rev. Mr. White....I hope this is of some value to someone on list. MEMPHIS DAILY APPEAL [MEMPHIS, TN], December 25, 1860, p. 3, c. 3 Does anyone know just who this Rev White was??? My Capt Absalom White, CSA, of Tippah Co Ms was severely wounded in the war, and died shortly after he arrived home at war's end. My GF, Thomas Jefferson White, born 1859, said that as soon as he was old enough, he took his mother to Memphis where he peddled milk until he saved enough to get her to Texas. I have always wondered if more Whites were in Memphis when he went there from Blue Mt, Ms...in other words relatives that would help a young boy. ??? Thanks, Jean
