She was listed on the 1860 census of Anderson district SC with her parents, Osborn and Permelia white. In the 1880 census of Anderson Co., I found one lady named Frances Thomas, who was the right age for Frances White. I have not followed up on this yet.Husband was B. T. Thomas. I have no other information on her. After the surrender of the Confederate Army the White family were on there way back to North Georgia, stopping for a time at Acworth where Lois' uncle Thomas Evatt owned and operated a tannery. William A. Weaver was at the time learning how to be a tanner- hence the romance began. Whether they married in Acworth or after the White family returned to the Cove is unkown. i am trying to confirm where my white family refugeed to in south georgia and also where exactly they came from i know they lived in Monroe County Tennessee before they moved to Rock Springs area of Walker County but they were spread all over Walker County its hard for me to determine exactly what city but they were spread all over the county..i noticed when you posted your messege you had a frances listed on the 1860 census can you tell me little bout her? i found your email posted on the White messege board..my aunt feels there may be a connection.if you would likje actual copies of my history i will be glad to mail copies to you at no cost what so ever..i would like to exchange info with and take a look at what you have...let me know if you would like copies mailed to you..i wish i had my gg grandmothers bible but unfortunatly that just isnt possible cause we do not know who ownms it at present...looking forward to hearing from you... most respectfully, paul stanfield jr. [input] [input] [input] [input] Hi Terry, Here is what I have on William Harrison White, he married Mary Tidwell in GA. They had the following children: these ages are from the 1880 census of Polk Co. Ga. Sarah E....11 Martha L....9 William......7 James O or A....6... it was A on the Okla census Thomas J ...4 George W.....2 My husband's mother and brother visited George in the early 1960 in Stillwell, OK .His two sisters "Ellar" and "Lulur" were there also. they were quite old. I have pictures that my mother-in-law took while there. I am in the process of getting W. H.'s records from the Indian Affairs Office in Texas. The information online says he went in on a parent's record, his wife Mary Tidwell was also Native American according to some sources. W.H. spent some time in Alabama because he signed a form for his mother in 1891. Hope this gives you something you can use.
