I have been searching for the name of my great grandmother's father for years and have hit numerous roadblocks until I joined this list. I believe that my great grandmother Cora, is Isadora's older sister. Cora Lee WHITE born 1903 in TN? m. Hamley "Ham" Elisha WAD(T)KINS about 1918 in Colbert Co.,AL and died in 1938 in Colbert Co., AL. According to my older cousins, she was "part Indian" (most likely Cherokee). My grandmother was Cynthia Pauline WADKINS. Now I guess I know where her name comes from...Thanks for knocking down a brick wall! Please let me know any additional info and I will share whatever I find from here onwards. His grandmother was Isadora (Icy Dora) White, b. 1908 in Waterloo, Lauderdale Co., Alabama. Her parents were John T. White and Cynthia Barnett. John was b. abt. 1865, Waterloo, Alabama. Cynthia was b. abt. 1876, Alabama. They were married Dec. 1889 in Waterloo. Their children were: Cora, Charles, Elton, Oscar, Isadora, Unknown child, and Rosa. They were born between 1900 and 1913.
