I am seeking information about Joseph White, who was according to oral family history was born about 1781. He was acquiring land in the St. Louis MO area by the early 1800's, buying land from a Hugh White, who may have been a relative. By his first marriage (name of wife is unknown), he had the following children: James, David, Joshua, Joseph, Hugh, Margaret, and another son. During this time, he moved to St. Charles Co., MO, but later moved to Pike Co., MO. By his second marriage (name of wife also unknown), he had the following children: William Henry, Richard, Edward, Nancy, Larrinda Ann, Elizabeth Jane, and Martha Susan. By his third marriage to Julia Ann Whitson in Pike Co. (1840), he had the following children: Mary and Samuel Allen. He died between 1847 and 1850 in Pike Co. I am descended from his daughter Elizabeth Jane. I would like to know the names of his parents and his first two wives. I would also like to discover his birthplace.
