I am searching for information on Abijah WHITE b. 1800 in South Carolina. I have all the census info on him from 1830 to 1860.He was in Washington County, Georgia in 1830 & 1840, Monroe County, Alabama in 1850 and in Rankin County, Mississippi by 1860. His wife, Missouri, was listed alone in the 1870 Simpson county Mississippi census. I am not sure it is correct, but I have seen Missouri's maiden name listed as PERCER at the FHC site. Because Missouri was alone in 1870, Abiah must have died sometime between 1860 and 1870. I have found no death record. In 1880, Missouri is living with a daughter in Simpson county. I have land records where Abijah and his son,Joel, both had land in Simpson County, Mississippi. Children of Abijah WHITE Joel WHITE b. 1828 married Mary FLOYD James WHITE b. 1834 I have no info on James. I believe he may have died in the Civil War.
